Week One - Write a summary of the class reading book you looked at last term. What was it called? Who wrote it? What was the basic storyline? What stood out for you as its main themes? Would you recommend it to someone else?
Last term my reading group and I read a book called Midnite.
The main characters are Khat the Siamese cat, Red ned the horse, Dora the cow, Gyp the dog, Major the cockatoo, and of cause Midnite!
My favorite parts were when Midnite kept on getting arrested and Miss Laura Welborn, And how Midnite had all his oaths!! And how Trooper O'Grady was Midnites only Human friend.
I didnt like The Queen and the Governor and how miss Laura Welborn got mad at Midnite because he was UGLY and then how she liked him again, but i think overall The story was great and I recommend it to everyone who likes funny books.
I also read that book last term,
I really liked it and my favourite parts was when Midnite and Khat got drunk, I also liked it when Midnite first met Laura Welbourne and she sang a song to him. I also didn't really like the queen and the governor that much because they weren't very nice to Midnite. I also enjoyed it when Midnite got arrested.
I really thought that it was funny when Trooper O-Grady first met Midnite and pick pocketed him even though Trooper said that they would be friends.
I really enjoyed the book and I would recomend it to anyone who likes comedy.

Week Two - What type of books do you enjoy reading? Do you like funny books? Science Fiction? Scary stories? Adventure? Sad stories? Do you have a favourite book at the moment? Do you prefer to read stories where the main character is your age? Male? Female?
I enjoy reading funny books, adventure and somtimes sad. I like to read funny books because i always enjoy laghing, I like reading adventure books because it gets you on the edge of the seat, like wanting to no what happens next. At the moment we are reading the Billionares Curse in reading I am realy enjoying it, it is a funny story.
I enjoy reading books with people my age in it and I like Male and Female charicatars in a book.
You most disliked character in a book and why.
I disliked the Gouverner and the Queen In the book called Midnite.
Because I didnt like it how the Queen sent the gouverner to get Midnite and how they were really mean to Midnite.
And I also didnt like the Judge because he was also mean to Midnite and always sent him to jail.
I found the Judge very mean and I thought he HATED Midnite!
And how he ALWAYS sent him to jail. He didnt even have a reson to be that upset with Midnite!
When it was Trooper O'grady all along picking his pocket! But I did think it was really funny when Major the cockatoo interupted court and flu onto the Judges head! And that made the Jusge hate Midnite EVEN MORE!
I agree Pazra, I think all of those characters were quite nasty to poor old Midnite! Well done, this is all well explained. Mrs G
I disliked the characters that were weird, curious and mysterious. In the book A Wrinkle in Time the characters that I disliked were the three W's.I can't remember exactly who they were but one of them was definitely Mrs Whatsit. The three ladies could transform into weird creatures. In the book I couldn't get a real picture of the three ladies because I found, for myself,that the description in the book wasn't very good.The three Mrs W's took the children (the other characters) to different universes by a Tesser and I thought that would have been scary for them.
The 3 w's for me weren't that described. I coudn't get such a good picture in my head. A place the 3 w's took the children (other characters) was a planet where the whole spicies are blind. This part, in the book, is where meg- the main character and hero-go save her father. I found this book extremly wierd and very confusing as I said (or typed) before!

What has been your most favourite Justin D'Ath extreme adventure book and why
My favourite Justin D'ath extreme adventure book is monkey mountain. I love it because there are a barrage of animals like sharks, crocs, monkeys, a possum like animal that is poisonous and other jungle animals. My favourite animal is the possum like animal because it bites a pirate that is leading a pirate boarding party to take possesions off a poor family that is poor. That animal is my hero.
I really want to read devil danger so if any one has it at home I would love to read it. I think it will bee awsome.

That sounds like a really good book Asher! The monkey sounds great, I havent heard of a monkey helping poor people alot! The monkey sounds like someone to be a hero!

Hi everyone, This is my Animoto on Dear Dumb Diary. I chose this because I think that it is full of adventure and really fun to read, you always want to know whats happening next. Dear Dumb Diary is about a girl called Jaimie Kelly who trys so hard to get everything she has and then therre is this popular girl whos name is Angeline who is the prettiest girl in her year and she is so perfect and she dosent even try. Jaimie Kelly thinks that thats unfair.
If you want see the rest you should read the book.
I recommend it to everyone who likes books with adventure and personality and if you always want to know what happens next. There is a whole serise of wonderful "Dear Dumb Diary's"
